Rosse, Kelly, Iacolucci - 2004 Captains

On Saturday August 21, the 2004 varsity captains were named.  Eric Rosse was selected last year and will continue in his role as a senior captain this year.  Eric has been the starting goalkeeper on varsity since his sophomore season.  Last year Eric had 14 shutouts and was selected as the Capital District Big Schools Goalkeeper of the year by the Albany Times Union.  He was also nominated for Class A Goalkeeper of the year by section 2.  Joining Eric are Kevin Kelly and Jared Iacolucci.  Jared will be a senior this year and is following in the footsteps of his brother Mark.  Two years ago Mark led the Scotties to a semifinal birth in the class A sectionals.  Jared has a huge part of that success when he was brought up from JV to be a starting central midfielder on the varsity team.  Jared almost singlehandidly shut down Niskayuna in the first round of sectionals.  Last season Mark was outstanding and was a dominant force on a defense that only gave up 3 goals in league play.  Kevin will be a junior this year and is expected to do some "big" things in the suburban council.   Kevin will be playing in the midfield and will be looked upon to be involved in a majority of the offensive efforts either through a goals or assists.
